We have an opportunity for an experienced Hospital Administration Officer who has excellent administrative and organisational skills to join our team on the Redcliffe Peninsula. If you thrive in a fast paced, team focused workplace, this may be the perfect opportunity for you!
As an Administration Officer your responsibilities will include:

  • Manage a busy reception desk of up to 40 admissions per day
  • Answer and redirect calls
  • Prepare admission paperwork
  • Maintain accurate and effective record management systems including preparation of medical records.
  • Perform Health Fund Checks as required
  • Manage the collection of excesses/co payments
  • Coordinate with staff from other departments
  • Ward clerk relief when required on Medical, Rehab & Surgical Wards
  • Consulting rooms reception relief
  • Complete other clerical tasks as required
  • Assist other departments when required

Peninsula Private Hospital has been providing healthcare services to the Redcliffe Peninsula community for over 30 years. We are a 70 patient-bed private hospital, situated in Kippa-Ring providing medical, surgical and rehabilitation healthcare services.
Selection Criteria:
  • Minimum one year previous hospital administration experience essential
  • Highly developed organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines in a fast paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Experience in MS Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel)
  • Works well independently and within a team
  • Flexible to work a variety of shifts – early/late shifts & weekend work
  • WebPas Hospital system experience (Desired)
  • Consulting suite experience (Desired)
